A native of Philadelphia and an actor since childhood, Gabrielle graduated from Temple University with a Communications degree, and then spent several years studying and working as an actor in New York City. She appeared in independent films, commercials, and lots of NYC black box theaters. It was both incredibly wonderful and utterly frustrating on a daily basis. Parenthood brought her back home to Philly where, along with performing, Gabrielle began writing, directing, and producing. AngelPirate evolved from a desire to serve the Philadelphia community by developing, supporting, and presenting original performance pieces created by local artists, especially those addressing social justice issues and which amplify voices of the global majority. Gabrielle was a co-founder and an artistic director of The Bridge PHL with the mission to foster healing connections between diverse communities by encouraging openness and dialogue on racial prejudice, privilege, inclusion, intersectionality and bias, through powerful acts of theatre. Gabrielle is a member of the Dramatists Guild.
